The Little Things in Life
Regardless what you’ve been told it takes years of dedication and hard work to get a website to the top of Google, especially for competitive keywords. It was over 3 years ago when Peter Bishop the owner and founder of The Little Things in Life contacted Business Services UK with a view to improving their search engine position. Peter had been unfortunate to employ the services of an unethical SEO provider who had littered his site with spam. It took well over 6 months to get it in decent order, then we set about the task of getting the site onto page 1 of Google for the term ‘wedding jewellery’ this was a mammoth undertaking as the term is competitive and the ranking on Google at the time was page 70. Developing projects like this requires hard work on a daily basis.
The early stages can be disheartening as the climb up the rankings is a slow one. I’m pleased to announce the site now ranks in 2nd position on Google for the term wedding jewellery. Of course ranking is only good if the rest of the business is performing well, a high search engine position and healthy visitor trends are pointless if the business not producing a healthy profit. To that end it’s important products are perfectly showcased, well priced and supported by a sound customer service policy.
I’m delighted to state The Little Things in Life tick all these boxes. This is testament to the hard work Peter and his team have put in over the years. These kind of projects highlight how a business can reach the dizzy heights from a meagre beginning, however this can only be accomplished if everyone in the team is dedicated. Saying that even when a business is performing well it’s not the time to sit back and relax, in fact the opposite is true, in the online world we need to keep pushing the boundaries and introducing new products and marketing techniques as often as possible.
