The Grafter
Business owners that cannot afford to outsource Internet marketing services or employ PPC have to face reality, the road to success is going to be a very difficult one. In the online world we generally end up with 3 categories of people; The unmotivated individual, they dove into the online world thinking all they needed was a good idea and a website, these people fall by the wayside within a few years. The dream of earning easy money replaced by a reoccurring nightmare. The wise guy, these believe they will succeed by using brain power alone, they quickly become proficient in the use of automated solutions and spinning tactics. These people also see their ventures ending in failure after their plan to trick the major search engines failed. The grafter, now this person quickly realises they will never be intelligent enough to fox the major search engines and although time is always against them they commit a lifetime to building up a solid online business.

No matter how taxing or demanding a process is Jonathan will never give up until it’s sorted. Burning the midnight oil or working weekends is common for this individual. Ling Valentine from Lingscars is another single minded motivated individual who is performing exceptionally well in a difficult economic climate, this is because she’s another solid grafter. The only way to succeed in today’s online environment is to be totally dedicated to the ‘long game’, the problem with modern society is things come too easy, to that end once a process becomes too difficult or painful it’s given up on. Before moving into the online world people need to realise what lays ahead of them, it’s tough, very tough and the only way to succeed is to have capital or be prepared to work hard than you have ever done before in your life. Then, even when you get there, you need to keep pounding away just to maintain your position.
When I tell people how tough this game is, I’m sure it falls on deaf ears, people are obviously too preoccupied with dreams of easy money.
