Poor Conversion Ratios
Often ecommerce sites suffer from poor conversion ratios, there are many reasons that can cause this, these are:
1. Price is too high when compared to other online retailers
2. Postage costs are too high
3. Delivery times are too long
4. Website displays poor images
5. Website displays poor content
6. Website is illogical and hard to navigate
7. Website does not give the visitor a feeling of trust
8. No price incentive, (sales – special offers)
9. Seller has a poor reputation
10. Website offers limited payment options
11. Checkout stage does not actively display a secure server
12. Seller requires too much information from the purchaser
13. Poor page load speed
14. Items for sale are considered sub standard
Remember owning a successful website requires the owner to adopt the attitude of pleasing any potential visitor, with so much choice in the marketplace people will only buy when a website compels them to do so.
Be clever and improve sales.
