Never Sit Back
Underestimating the competition in the online world can be a costly mistake. Once a website reaches the top of Google owners often become complacent, the longer a site stays at the top of the worse it can get. Business owners who have the luxury of generating healthy income streams from a high search engine position need to protect their interests. All the work that went in to getting a site to the top must continue. This should include.
1. Adding new innovative functionalities
2. Re-writing stale website copy
3. Adding new products and services
4. Continually upgrading content and images
5. Continually improving on and off-site optimisation
6. Uploading new videos
7. Uploading top quality unique content on a regular basis
8. Improving areas of a site that are underperforming
Remember no one has a god given right to generate wealth from the Internet, often it’s not about investing more money but continuing with day to day basis. I’ve never been one for replicating other business ideas; I believe my team are more than capable of working out new innovations and uploading them in the correct manner. Most of my client conversations revolve around, ‘what next’. The day you cannot think of something new to trial or implement is the day you should stop working in the Internet marketing sector. The web gives us freedom of expression, of course not everything we trial will be a success; however we should never stop trying.
Already 2011 is proving to be a fantastic year for the clients of Business Services UK, start ups and new projects aside all our sites are performing exceptionally well. I personally put this down to the continual pursuit of excellence and never accepting second best. By working with clients and not for them we have forged some fantastic business relationships.
