Motivation and Vision
When starting on a new project I’m keen to see how the owner(s) operate. If an online venture is to succeed there needs to be an abundance of motivation, in the competitive arena, how else can a business succeed? At Business Services UK we don’t just work for clients, we walk alongside them, playing our part in making their business as powerful as possible. If there’s no motivation at the helm all we will do is maintain the status quo, this is not good for anyone. A few weeks ago we parted company with one of our longest standing clients, their motivation, vision and technical understanding were poor, the truth is it always had been. In business you need to grow, if not step aside and make way for the new breed.
Traditional business is based around a set routine, the 9 to 5 shuffle, this will certainly change over time, the new generation is well aware the Internet is open for business 24/7, therefore opportunity awaits all day long. The new breed are happy to work until the early hours of the morning, whilst their traditional counterparts are clearing their desks at 5pm, sometimes sooner.
I believe to be effective in modern business we should not be afraid of experimentation, we should have a clear vision for the future. Growing a business to a high level is a different game to starting one off.
Some business owners have natural flare, their methodology is based around a systematic approach that means they will get a high percentage of calls right, by this I mean they do not operate in the domain of ‘guesswork’.
If your motivation is lacking and you do not have a solid vision for the future, all backed up with an achievable plan you may find the coming years a struggle. Times are changing, it sounds harsh but in the business world it’s often a matter of only the strong survive.
