Live Results and Continual Improvement
As Google move towards the display of ‘live’ results, we need to consider the structure of our websites. For media based ventures the display of live information is very easy, unfortunately for most of us it’s a complicated issue. Recently we’ve been working with clients to improve their websites from a live perspective, the areas we’ve been work on are. Tickers Special offer banners, updated monthly News sections, displaying sector and business related information (these need to be date stamped). Over the past few years our clients that have been proactive with continual improvement have out performed those that haven’t. So other than SEO what areas have we been working on. The development of specific landing pages The development of regularly updated tickers The display of good quality testimonials (homepage) The regular addition of good quality unique content The introduction of video On-site improvements, making a site user friendly The introduction of geo-specific targeting Opening a Google Base account The improvement of on-site content The display of better quality images The obvious display of a business’s telephone number Various social media strategies The introduction of more site pages Improved customer enquiry forms Improved admin panels, simplification is always key The introduction of moderated customer comments The addition of business blogs As you can see there are many areas to be considered. If you want to move forward in a structured, affordable and stress free manner you need to adopt short, medium and long term strategies. Search is naturally competitive, to that end we need to stay ahead of the game, fact!
