Keyword Rich Domains
Why are keyword rich domains all the rage
The answer is simple, search engines needed a sure fire way of validating their platforms.
If people type the term BMW into Google UK they don’t want to see the first few pages full of affiliate sales or Ebay pages. They needed to incorporate a system that would make sure www.bmw.co.uk ranked in first position, regardless of page/site strength. The best way to achieve this was to add a disproportionate amount of strength to the domain.
This strategy has helped major search engines with their validation, however it has lead to an epidemic of webmasters purchasing search engine friendly domains
