Google Docs and Spreadsheets

Google are set to revolutionise the world of online documentation with the release their latest tool, 'Google Docs and Spreadsheets'. This feature will give Internet users the ability to create their own online documents, spreadsheets and presentations as well as sharing the information with people of their choosing. At first glance the new feature would not appear all that attractive, that is until you process the multitude of possibilities for the software. If your business needs to provide clients with regular up to date information they can now utilising Google Docs, which will reduce the constant flow of emails and the production of endless excel spreadsheets. If information has to be collaborated and worked on by more than one person it can now be centrally held in one secure place.

Outside of business this new feature will also allow people to document sports ladders, educational assignments or keep their thoughts in one place. In the world of business monopolisation can be seen as unhealthy, businesses that lack meaningful competition can at times be viewed as ruthless. In terms of Google this does not appear to be the case, year in year out they are continually improving their software packs and functionality, the introduction of Google Docs is a testament to their forward thinking ethos. On the flip side Google are a money making enterprise and as such I expect the price of Adwords their PPC platform to rise in the future. This should be viewed as positive news for the SEO community as more site owners will be encouraged to invest money in improving their position within the organic listings.

All in all Google Docs gets a big thumbs up from me, I am sure it will improve the organisation of my own business.
