Choose Your Words Carefully
When you are writing for SEO purposes it is important to choose your keywords carefully. It might be tempting to just pick the top twenty or thirty keywords from a Google search and then ask your writers to write the articles based on that list (or write them yourself). This technique comes with a handful of problems, the largest of which is encountering a keyword phrase that is particularly awkward and cannot be squeezed into the content of your article.
Forcing keywords in takes away from the credibility of your authors. If you want to write for SEO, choose keywords that are easily worked into the content of an article. Remember that you are writing for your readers, not the search engines. Just because a particular search string is popular does not mean that you need to force it into your content exactly as it appears in the search engines. Use your common sense to decide which keywords will work and which will not. When you are writing for SEO purposes it can be easy to get bogged down in the numbers.
A keyword might be popular, but it might not work with what you are writing. Take a moment to decide which is more important: repeat readers or search engine ranking.
