Ask Search Engine to Close
It’s now official ask.com will soon cease to exist as a search engine; instead their platform will be used as a question and answer portal. The change of emphasis is probably needed as Google’s grip on online search is not loosening; in fact the opposite is true. The negative side to the closure is the loss of over 100 jobs. It will be interesting to see how this question and answer idea works out, my gut instinct is, online visibility will probably increase, but it’s hardly an innovative idea. Have we reached the stage where new ideas are so hard to come by or are organisations playing it safe
