Business Services UK do a fair bit of work on Craig Smith’s social media campaign PrintedBagShop it’s proving very successful as we get a nice mixture of personable and business related posts. The work is certainly building brand awareness and has led to many orders being filled. Craig even had his local radio station contact him for his thoughts on recent flight disruptions, (thanks Iceland) they follow him on Twitter.
Social media is certainly not going away, it offers direct lines of communication with a potential market. In terms of business, one of the reasons for social media’s success is the management of an organisation can be seen as normal people, some even have a sense of humour. The breaking down of barriers between an organisation and its client base, how simplistic, but very powerful.
The face of business is certainly changing, the ‘old guard’ need to take note or they will be left behind
