Adding Unique Content
Adding unique content to a website will always be one of the best methods of pleasing the major search engines. The difficulty for the owners of ecommerce based ventures is there are simply not enough hours in the day. Due to this factor many look for site population from the general public, popular methods include Forums Article commenting Reviews Forums – A forum is a fantastic method of interacting with a target audience and content population, the downside is, a forum can be devalued by spam and an empty forum can give the perception of a dead site. One method of counteracting this is to set up a forum off site, if it gains popularity it can easily be splintering onto a website. If a forum does not attract spam posts can be syndicated via RSS to social media platforms like Ping.fm, therefore magnifying exposure. Article Commenting – Having discussions and feedback on our articles is another fantastic way of adding unique content, the problem will always be the fight against good and evil (genuine posters v spammers) only this weekend we noticed an offending link on one of our clients websites. Reviews – Positive reviews from the general public will always be a good method of validating a business or product plus the addition of unique content, as with article commenting we need to be weary of spammers Conclusion There are methods available to us for the external population of our websites, that said none are straight forward and most require moderation.
