A Well Constructed Website
For a website to perform well in the major search engines over the short, medium and long term it needs
1. Well-constructed, not a template, preferably in style sheets
2. Will need a little on-site optimisation work
3. Based around good quality keywords, What is the point being number 1 for a phrase no one searches for?
4. Major pages of the site need to have plenty of unique content
5. Inbound links built on a regular basis 6. Have a mechanism on the site to add content on a regular basis, article section, blog etc
For a website to have a good conversion ratio (percentage of visitors turned into paying customers)
1. Needs to be user friendly, easy to navigate
2. Needs to be visually astute are you looking for a corporate feel?
3. Content needs to be pitched at the right level, written for visitors not robotic text based around pleasing search engines If you follow these basic rules you will not go far wrong
