Do Follow Blogs

In an effort to combat comment spam and paid links, Google and other search engines got together and developed the "no follow" tag. WordPress implemented the tag which essentially voided all of the links contained within a blog. This is because the "no follow" tag tells the search engines that the link should not count towards the site's page rank.

As you can imagine, this is disastrous for web developers and web site owners who depend on links to increase their search engine rankings. In almost no time, the "Do Follow" tag was invented and made public.

Do Follow Blogs treat all links—whether it is a link to your site's URL in a comment or a link that you paid for in a side bar or a paid posting advertisement—as valid links. This tag tells search engines that the link does matter and that it should be counted toward the site's page rank.

There are also Do Follow blogs that are dedicated to listing all of the blogs that have implemented the tag. Do Follow blogs provide web site owners and web developers with much needed link currency. It is definitely worth your time to peruse the Do Follow blogs and make sure that they link to your site. A simple Google search will reveal lists of Do Follow blogs. Spend some time looking these sites over!
